Hannibal Tricked?: The Ancient Romans once trapped their great enemy Hannibal in a
valley, by having a
guide mislead him. Hannibal executed the guide, then tied torches
to the horns the cattle in the herd he had with him. In the dead
of night lit the torches and stampeded the cattle right through
the surprised Roman lines. Hannibal then used the confusion to escaped.
