Customers Outside of the Continental United States

General

Military/Info is now shipping orders outside of the United States to a limited extent, based on our understanding of the trade regulations. Why

Basic Rules:

1. At this time we are only receiving orders from or shipping to 18 countries outside of the United States. The countries are CANADA, GREAT BRITAIN (except Northern Ireland), FRANCE, ITALY, GERMANY, THE NETHERLANDS, BELGIUM, NORWAY, DENMARK, LUXEMBURG, ICELAND, GREECE, SPAIN, PORTUGAL, AUSTRALIA, JAPAN, and SWEDEN. We will also accept orders from NEW ZEALAND on a case by case basis.

2. We will also ship outside of the United State to United States Military personnel in military units at Military addresses (like APO's and NPO's).

3. We reserve the right not to send any item. This will be done on a case by case, item by item basis, because of the complex nature of the export regulations.

4. In general, do not even ask Military/Info to ship overseas anything dealing with Chemical Warfare, Explosives, Demolitions or Landmine Warfare for obvious reasons.

5. Military/Info will only deal with Corporations based in the 18 above listed countries. Those Corporations should have the United States incorporated part of their Corporation order from Military/Info.

Note: Often military manuals dated before 1949 are alright to ship overseas. Also periodical, articles and extracts are often alright to ship.

If a customer breaks our rules:

We wish to stay in business and have a lot of rules to obey so we error on the side of caution. Any order which we suspect is trying to make us break the rules will not be replied to. Anyone who wishes to persist in such activity will have their requests sent to the U.S.State Department Trade Controls Office for it's compliance officers to deal with.

If we receive an order from a country not on our list, we will not ship the order, and will not send back the money.

If a customer sends us an order which asks for items which we will not ship overseas, we will not ship those items and give them credit instead, which they can apply to a future order. We will not refund the money, the transactions involved simply cost us to much.

Some of the rules we have to obey are two different copyright conventions, ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), U.S.Postal regulations and U.S.customs regulations. We at Military/Info Publishing do our best to obey them.

Frequently Asked Shipping Questions:

Paying for orders: Overseas checks or money orders should be draw on U.S.funds, not local currency. We not accept checks or money orders in non U.S. currency, it simply costs us too much money. The exception is Canada, our bank will accept Canadian funds. We do not accept credit cards, paypay or debit cards. We do accept Western Union or Money Grams. Cash (Dollars or Euros) can be sent at our own risk. [Details]

Sending Orders: Tell us that your order is coming by Email if possible, we will then send you an Email when it arrives and when we send it. Then please Email us when it arrives. Alternately you can call or fax us when you send your order, but we will only tell you when it arrives by Email.

What we will send or will not send: We reserve the right not to send any item. This is done on a case by case basis (see Warning). We have to obey to lot of rules to stay in business, which are too numerous to detail here.

In most cases, over the years, we have not had problems with sending orders outside of the United States, but in there are cases which we have to carefully review the items in an order before sending or not sending some of the items.

It is best that you contact us and send a list of what you wish to order for us before you send us the order so that we can review it make sure that we can send it. This can help both of us. First, if you send us an order for items which we cannot send we will only send that part of the order which we can send and give you a credit to be applied to your next order. We will not refund the money because refunding the money can become very expensive for us. Second, if you are sending a large order it will give us some warning before it arrives so we can make arrangements in our schedule so that we can complete it faster when it does arrive.

How long does it take us to Ship an Order overseas?: We ship by Air mail. It takes at least 1 week for the order to get to us, 1 to 2 weeks for us to process the order. Air Mail takes 1 week to arrive after we ship the order. Also each country has it's own particular custom’s procedures which may cause a shipment to be delayed or even lost. If you do not receive your order, inform us and we will do our best to replace it, but that will take time.

Alaska and Hawaii: We will not send to Alaska or Hawaii by UPS and will only accept orders to be sent by mail, but you only have to pay the U.S.shipping rate of $6 rather than $12 as will other orders from outside of the Continental United States.

Canada: We will not send orders to Canada by UPS and only accept orders to be sent by mail, but you only have to pay the U.S. shipping rate of $6 rather than $12 as with other orders from outside of the United States.

Language Problems: We communicate in English. So please if you are going to contact or order from us please do it in the English language. We can understand simple money orders which not in English. We are not able to handle postal money orders which are not in English. We are not able to reply to Email addresses which are not using the Roman alphabet.
